Sara Jeanne Hebert, a proud Cajun from Leroy, Louisiana, grew up on the last dairy farm to close in Vermilion Parish. She graduated from North Vermilion High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies with a concentration in Visual Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
With a heart for serving those in poverty, Sara dedicates herself to acts of mercy and charity, including transportation assistance, food delivery, home visits, and emergency support.
She has worked closely alongside various Catholic organizations, including the Community of Jesus Crucified, Catholic Workers of Acadiana, and Catholic Charities.
Deeply rooted in both her faith and Cajun heritage, Sara has recently begun using her artistic gifts as a means of serving the Lord. Inspired by her patron saint, Joan of Arc, she finds courage in the words: “Serve God First” and “I am not afraid, I was born for this.”
Sara shares, “The word “Catholic” means “Universal”, and it has been a joyful mission in my life to bring this truth to life in daily living. Sharing what I have received is a gift, and in embracing this call, I hope my art becomes a reflection of what it means to be truly universal and fully given in love. May it serve as a witness to the beauty of faith, drawing hearts toward Christ and His way!”

A visual fleshing out of Jesus Crucified, Mater Dolorosa and the Saints who walk with us. . . This vision can be realized as a deeply moving and sacred composition that brings together the suffering of Christ, the sorrow of His Blessed Mother, and the presence of the saints who walk with us. This is my interpretation of sacred art.
